Find A Program To Suit You

10thousandgirl offers three programs available nationally that support you in creating a personal plan and understanding the cornerstone financial principles to build your confidence and capacity when it comes to making financial decisions.

1. Link Ups - 3 hour evening workshops run by local volunteers and facilitated by a local 10thousandgirl presenter. LinkUps cover goal setting, personal finance 101, super, insurance, tax, wills & investing basics and include a 40 minute Q&A session with a panel of local professionals. The panel is often made up of an accountant, financial planner, mortgage broker and solicitor and provides the opportunity to ask those burning questions in a safe and comfortable environment.

2. GIGS (Girl Investment Groups) - 4 month peer led book club-like program exploring the LinkUp topics with a little more technical detail. Paired with industry mentors in your local area, GIGs are designed for groups of friends, workmates and like-minds to learn together and support each other in laying your financial foundations (revised GIG program launching June 2013).

3. Webinars - the basic 10thousandgirl Personal Finance Webinar is run every couple of months. Over the second half of 2013 we are also planning a campaign which involves a series of webinars to help you if you’re needing to or in the process of consolidating super. This will help you to understand superannuation, how it works, why we have it and what choices you have inside it. We’ll share tips and a process to make consolidating your super funds as easy as it can be.

10thousandgirl also runs one day workshops in regional and remote areas across Australia in partnership with Rabobank. These workshops are designed specifically for women in agriculture and cover goalsetting, personal financial management, business financial management and include a Q&A session with a panel of finance and succession planning experts. Contact your local Rabobank branch to see if there’s an event near you.

Oh, and all 10thousandgirl programs involve the odd cup of tea or glass of wine!
